The HP EliteDesk 800 Desktop Mini PC from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) is the next evolution of the desktop.
Featuring enterprise-class performance, security and manageability in HP’s smallest desktop yet, this highly compact mini form factor PC packs premium specifications into a box that measures just one litre in volume. It is the ultimate business machine for even the most space-conscious environments.
“The HP EliteDesk 800 Desktop Mini PC is a revolution of design, packaged in a box that is smaller than many office desk phones. It is small but powerful and is efficiently crafted to make the most of its compact chassis, and can be turned vertically or horizontally to fit into any space,” says Francois van Wijk, HP PSG business unit manager at DCC.
The HP EliteDesk 800 features the latest in processing technology and optional Intel vPro technology. An optional solid state drive (SSD) module, internal SSD or dual drive configurations enable a variety of options to increase performance or local storage depending on requirements.
Security is boosted with HP BIOSphere firmware-level automation, which helps to keep productivity high and downtime low by delivering automatic updates and security checks. HP BIOSphere also protects mission-critical data and systems with customisable authentication and BIOS-level passwords.
HP Secure Erase clears the contents of a hard drive for secure repurposing or reassignment, while HP Client Management simplifies integration into the IT environment and on-going maintenance. In addition, HP Trust Circles protect data by preventing unauthorised users from accessing critical files.
An integrated VESA mount enables the HP EliteDesk 800 Desktop Mini to be set up in practically any spot or attached to a variety of optional peripheral devices. An easily serviceable design with a single thumbscrew offers access to clearly identifiable components for ease of maintenance.
“The HP EliteDesk 800 Desktop Mini is ENERGY STAR qualified and EPEAT Gold certified to reduce energy consumption levels and support 24/7 operations. It consumes less than eight watts of power in idle mode for superior energy optimisation, and is designed for durability, having been thoroughly tested and subjected to end-to-end diagnostics and meeting MIL-STD 810G standards.
“Users can rest assured that their investment is protected and they will benefit from productivity and reliability for the entire product lifecycle. It is the ideal device for any business environment where space is at a premium,” Van Wijk concludes.
