Vodacom has announced that it will be increasing its contract prices, applicable to both new and existing contract customers from 1 May.
The changes apply to Smart, uChoose Smart, uChoose Flexi, Top Up and Mobile Broadband packages. Customers on the Smart Light contract will now pay R139, while the contract broadband cost for 500Mb goes up from R39 to R45.
Consumers have expressed outrage on social media platfroms. Meanwhile, Vodacom spokesman Richard Boorman says that the price hikes are unavoidable but that consumer frustration is understandable.
