InnJoo has launched a new high-spec smartphone into the South African market – at the low price of just R2 499.00.

InnJoo’s One phone will be available exclusively through Takealot.com at launch, but will later be offered to the IT channel and retail through distributor AxizWorkgroup.

The company has already launched products in Dubai and Nigeria, both markets exclusively through online platforms, and has captured significant market share.

Weighing in at just 123 grams, the InnJoo One is 6,9mm thick with a metal frame and a 5-inch HD display that is hypersensitive to touch.

It boasts a 13 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front, neither of which protrude beyond the frame.

It has a dual SIM, dual camera and dual microphone – the second one for noise reduction.

Double-sided Dragontrail glass is anti-scratch.

The A7 ARM Cortex Octa-core processor is built on 64-bit architecture and 28nm technology.

The devices has 2Gb RAM, and 15Gb internal storage upgradeable to 64Gb.

GPS is built in, with three satellite systems, and the device has a 2600 mAh polymer battery.

The smartphone will be available black or white with a gold plate, and will ship with a full range of accessories.

InnJoo will follow up the One with the InnJoo Fire, which is slightly lower-spec and will retail for R1 499.00.
