The new Dell PowerEdge range of servers available from distributor Drive Control Corporation (DCC) offers enhanced performance, maximum operational efficiency and greater versatility. Available in 1U and 2U rack server, rackable tower server and blade server models, the new PowerEdge range is ideal for a wide variety of applications from the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) to the large Enterprise.
“The new Dell PowerEdge range offers improved performance due to a number of enhancements. These include the latest DDR4 Random Access Memory (RAM), instead of previous generation DDR3, along with new Intel chipsets featuring the latest E5-2600 v3 Intel CPU range. Certain models offer bezel options that utilise Near Field Communication (NFC), which enables users to communicate with the server and change settings on a management level on their mobile phone using the Dell Open Manage Mobile (OMM) application, simply by being in proximity of the system. In addition, management capabilities have been enhanced and performance monitoring is now integrated rather than requiring Operating System (OS) plug-ins,” says Jaco Erasmus, Dell Enterprise Division Manager at DCC.
