The 2015 South African E-commerce Awards continued to see solid growth this year, with more than 200 Web sites entering.
The awards, now in their 10th year, are designed to recognise and reward those South African Web sites that have demonstrated excellence in their use of the Internet as a platform for commerce.

uAfrica.com, the organisers of the award, has narrowed down those entries to the Top 50 e-commerce Web sites, evaluating them on aspects such as design, mobile functionality, checkout process, customer care and delivery.

“It is interesting to see the variety of e-commerce Websites entering the awards this year,” says Andy Higgins, MD of uAfrica.com. “We continue to see some of the more expected Websites in the mix, but it is encouraging that there are also many new sites that have featured too. This brings a fresh new perspective to the awards, and demonstrates the growth and creativity within e-commerce in South Africa.”
