ContinuitySA was named the best Business Continuity and Resilience Provider for 2015 at the Business Continuity Institute Africa Awards banquet at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton on 18 August 2015. It is the second year running that ContinuitySA has received this accolade.
ContinuitySA was nominated for this prestigious award by a longstanding customer, for whom the company has provided business continuity management and disaster recovery services covering the call centre and critical business applications, as well as work area recovery for back-office functions. The motivation highlights the professional service provided by ContinuitySA over the course of the past seven years, as well as the continuous improvement in recovery capabilities, as demonstrated by regular testing.
“We are obviously thrilled to be recognised as the market leader across the whole continent for the second year. The fact that the award is based on a client reference is enormously important to us,” says Michael Davies, CEO of ContinuitySA. “Today’s boards are increasingly focused on ways of proactively managing potential and real disruptions to their business thereby mitigating risk to ensure long-term sustainability, and we see this award also as recognition of our role in establishing ourselves as a trusted and professional partner in helping our clients improve their business and operational resilience.”
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Davies stressed the progress the industry had made from IT disaster recovery through to the discipline of business continuity and now a more encompassing philosophy of business resilience, which aims to build an organisation’s resilience and thus its ability to recover from any disaster.
Contenders for the award came from across the African continent, and all award-winners will be automatically entered into the global awards that will take place in London in November this year.
