South African first video on demand (VOD) streaming service VIDI is offering anyone who registers on its web site the chance to enter a competition to win a 2015 Ferrari 458 Spider worth more than R5-million rand.
VIDI is one year old this month and it has been a good 12 months, says spokesperson Janene Matsukis. “VIDI is firmly in pole position in the VOD stakes. We were first out of the starting blocks and this early lead is a tremendous plus for our clients who don’t have to contend with an unproven service.”
The VIDI Ferrari 458 Spider competition runs from 10 September 2015, to 17 January 2016.
To enter, users can dial *120*360# and follow the instructions. Each entry costs R1.50 and participants can enter as many times as they wish.
One daily winner will be drawn for the 133-day duration of the competition. All of the 133 daily winners will be line to win the Ferrari at the end of the campaign.
VIDI offers both a monthly subscription option and an instant rental option across one platform. There is no programme scheduling but rather instant access to thousands of hours of entertainment.
“VIDI is all about an entertaining and customised hassle-free viewing experience. Since commercial launch last year, VIDI’s three biggest advantages have consistently been its local servers, the fact that the service requires no specialised hardware, and its data-subsidised fixed-line viewing. Add a Ferrari up for grabs and you have an unbeatable combination,” Matsukis says.
