ManpowerGroup has once again been named one of the world’s largest staffing firms, according to annual research carried out by Vactures.nl, this year taking the number two position.

“After holding the number three position for many years, we are both proud and excited about being named the second largest staffing firm in the world,” explains Lyndy van den Barselaar, MD of Manpower South Africa.

ManpowerGroup is located in nearly 3 900 offices in over 80 different countries and territories enables the company to meet the needs of its 400 000 clients per year, including small and medium size enterprises in all industry sectors, as well as the world’s largest multinational corporations.

Van den Barselaar explains that the growth of the firm allows them to deliver services, insight and advice to a larger group of clients, enabling more organisations to succeed in the evolving business landscape.

“Manpower is committed to continuously improving our service offerings to ensure our clients receive staffing solutions tailored to their individual needs,” she explains. The growth of our firm allows us to extend the reach of our services, and improves our position in terms of assisting with employment of all individuals, without discrimination.

Previously, Randstad held the position as the second largest staffing firm behind Adecco.

The research found that the total revenue of the top three firms – Adecco, Manpower and Randstad – is equivalent to the total of the following 17 agencies that make up the Top 20. Manpower’s 2014 revenue came in at €18 508 000, while the firm experienced a 2,5% growth within the same year.-

Global staffing revenue has increased by 6% in 2014 compared to 2013. The market value in 2014 of staffing transactions amounts to 440 billion euros.

“We hope to continue the positive growth of our firm into 2015 and the coming years, while increasing the positive impact we have on the lives of those living in the communities within which we operate,” Van den Barselaar says.
