Datatec has announced the appointments of Christian Roelofs as MD of Datatec Finance and Kevin Quarantello to president of Datatec Financial Services (DFS).
DFS is a newly established division in the group focused on providing Westcon and Logicalis customers with innovative financing solutions for ICT capital expenditure.  The appointments of Roelofs and Quarantello will further accelerate its strategic and business development.
Roelofs has more than 13 years’ experience within the financial services industry, the last nine years with a direct focus on advisory in the leasing, asset and consumer finance sector.  Initially qualifying as a chartered accountant with PwC, he moved to investment banking with Macquarie Bank before joining specialist financial services advisory at Grant Thornton. Roelofs has worked with businesses financing a wide range of assets across the world with the majority in the US, Europe and the UK. As MD of Datatec Finance, he will lead the overall DFS business and be responsible for the group’s treasury function.
Quarantello joined Datatec in March 2014 to help incubate and spearhead the development of Datatec Financial Services. He spent the previous 10 years in various vice-president roles at IBM.  Quarantello has extensive sales and strategy experience and most recently had sales responsibility for distributors, service providers and system integrators for IBM across North America. He also spent four years in Europe responsible for general business and IBM Global Financing.  As President of DFS, Quarantello will focus on the commercial activities of the division which include sales, marketing and business development.
