Service-driven ICT solutions provider Network Platforms recently developed a robust and scalable fibre infrastructure between Hetzner’s Centurion Data Centre Park and Teraco Isando.
The solution sees Network Platforms provide an impressively rich array of services and connectivity to clients hosting in Hetzner’s world-class hosting facility.
To commemorate the launch Network Platforms has created an introductory special offer that delivers internet connectivity out of Hetzner Centurion at an extremely affordable rate.
“Network Platforms will be offering a superb rate to the first 50 clients who sign up,” says Gavin Epstein, sales executive at Network Platforms. “The offer provides usage-based internet access at R1.20 per GB inclusive of VAT with a minimum commitment of purchasing 400GB per month.”
The special runs until the end of November 2015, or until 50 clients sign up, and is a superb opportunity for them to experience the superior bandwidth, capabilities and performance of the Network Platforms solution. The company uses five international seafloor cable systems – SAT-3, Seacom, WACS, SAFE and EASSy – and offers quality carrier grade bandwidth alongside peace of mind thanks to the protected fibre infrastructure provided between Hetzner and Teraco.
“Clients can either co-locate their infrastructure in a Network Platforms rack based at Hetzner Centurion, or alternatively install cross-connects between the clients rack and our aggregation point in Hetzner,” says Epstein. “We can offer dedicated capacity to our clients that require this level of service.”
The solution consists of an aggregation point of presence at the Hetzner Centurion data centre that includes a protected fibre ring that runs back to Teraco Isando. This ensures that there are a number of redundancies built into the system so that customers always receive high levels of service.  Through this implementation, Network Platforms can now provide tenants within the Hetzner data centre a variety of value-added services that range from remote NAP Africa ports to Layer 2 access to infrastructure at Hetzner through fibre, microwave or a combination of connectivity options
