Pinnacle Africa has unveiled its first branded power bank, the Proline PV-5000, available to the market immediately at a recommended retail price of R199.00.
The Proline PV-5000 Power bank is the latest in a line of firsts for Proline following the release of its XM-502 LTE Android smartphone. The premium polymer lithium-ion battery cells add 5000mAh of battery life to your smartphone, tablet or digital camera at a very affordable price.
This lightweight, ultra slim (only 9mm) power bank is designed for everyday use without taking up any unnecessary space and charges twice as fast as regular power banks. “With its 2.1A output, the PV-5000 charges many of the new-generation mobile phones that only work with fast-charge power supplies,” says Max Stone, Proline brand director at Pinnacle Africa. “This is a real advantage when you need a quick charge and you don’t have access to your standard wall charger.”
The PV-5000 also features multiple levels of safety protecting both the power bank and your valuable mobile device. These include over-voltage protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection and over charge/discharge protection.
“The charge status indicator is also a great feature that lets you know your PV-5000 Power bank is charged and ready for use,” says Stone.  Four LED indicators display the remaining power when charging your mobile device and also the status when charging the PV-5000.
