Local ISP OpenWeb has introduced Everyday Capped Unshaped, an affordable Capped Unshaped ADSL, VDSL or Telkom Fibre package, offering a capped package during peak periods and an uncapped package at night.
Everyday Capped Unshaped offers clients completely unshaped bandwidth that runs at the speed of their line. The product works on ADSL, VDSL or Telkom Fibre lines and includes complimentary uncapped access daily between 00:00 and 06:00 where usage between the late hours are not counted towards the peak time cap.
OpenWeb CEO Keoma Wright says customers never need to worry about shaping again. “Turn on those downloads at 12 in the afternoon or 12 at night and watch your line catch fire. The best part is that all usage between 00:00 and 06:00 daily is uncapped.”
Packages range from R148 for 75Gb to R1 949 for 1000Gb and the product allows up to four lines to be connected to it at any given time. OpenWeb manages its own ADSL network and is powered by Internet Solutions bandwidth. The network offers three nodes, in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town, offering clients the lowest latency possible.
