Sage, the market leader for integrated accounting, payroll, and payment systems has launched a Smart Money Movement solution which offers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the ability to collect money, make payments, and reconcile effortlessly, through a single interface and account.
The solution simplifies collections and payments, reducing manual work for SMEs and giving more control over cash flow.
Sage Smart Money Movement is a South African first in the way it offers SMEs the ability to track the movement of money from where a transaction originates in a desktop or online accounting or payroll application, to how that transaction is then executed and reconciled in the accounting system.
Sage Pay connects seamlessly to Sage Pastel Accounting, Sage Pastel Payroll and Sage VIP software, meaning that SMEs can now enjoy complete automation of payments made and received. They can collect payments for online sales, invoicing and debit order collections using Sage Pay; pay salaries and suppliers directly from Sage Accounting and Payroll software; and reconcile incoming and outgoing payments from Sage Pay accounts to Sage Pastel Accounting.
“Over 250 000 SMEs in South Africa use Sage software to simplify, control and manage their business processes,” says Anton van Heerden, Executive vice-president and MD of Sage South & Southern Africa. “Now, by combining our accounting and payroll solutions with Sage Pay’s leading payments platform, they can streamline their operations even further and control their businesses from anywhere, at any time. We are changing the way that millions of businesses track the movement of money through their business.”
Adds Sage Pay MD Charles Pittaway: “We turn collection, payment, and reconciliation into a smart, easy, and seamless three-step process for small businesses. Our aim is to simplify collections and payments to free you from time-consuming manual work and to give you complete control of your cash flow so that you can focus on the growth of your business. Best of all, there are no upfront or software licence costs to take advantage of this technology.”
This Sage Pay service offering enables businesses to accept credit cards, bank EFT, mobile, cash payments, debit orders and make salary and supplier payments to a single online account.  It also provides access to risk management services, including credit checks from multiple credit bureaus, CIPC, bank accounts and ID verifications.
“All the services are integrated into Sage accounting and payroll software to make the management and monitoring of money movement simple. The future is mobile and we are giving our customers the power to control their businesses from the palm of their hand,” Pittaway says.
