Comstor will be offering the HyperFlex hyper-converged solution built on Cisco UCS technology.
Comstor is a global Cisco distributor, leading the way in hyper-converged distribution. The company will bring HyperFlex to market through its LEAP Data Centre Partner Program, which will help enable the channel to maximise the market opportunity.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for all of us,” says Jeremy Butt, executive vice-president at Westcon-Comstor. “The hyper-converged market is still in its early phase, but it offers considerable value for our customers and has significant predicted market growth of 77% from 2014 to 2020. It is taking share from traditional storage solutions such as SAN and NAS, and we are excited to be a part of the momentum with Cisco’s HyperFlex offering.”
Hyper-convergence is the biggest shift in data centre infrastructure since server virtualisation. Today, traditional storage infrastructures have to deal with key challenges around performance requirements, hardware-defined platforms and complexity. However, the market is shifting to a more flexible, efficient and simplified solution – hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI).
The Cisco HyperFlex solution is built on the Cisco UCS platform, which has industry-proven performance and reliability. It is also well known for its centralised management, which is optimised for virtual workloads and scalability.
