Official HP distributor, Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has released the new HP PageWide Pro477dw MFP to the South African channel.
The PageWide Pro477dw is a cost-effective, multi-function device that provides print speeds of up to 55 ppm (pages per minutes) coupled with two-sided printing, scan to e-mail and the cloud, as well as the ability to print Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files directly from USB.
The MFP forms part of HP’s Secure Managed Print Services (SMPS) solution. This is a combination of hardware, software, and services geared towards protecting printers and vulnerable end-points against security breaches.
HP’s SMPS also includes secure boot and code integrity validation; confidential information is therefore easier to protect as users are prompted to enter a PIN before prints are collected from the device.
Comments Caron De Fortier, HP Printer and Supplies Business Unit Manager at DCC: “The PageWide Pro 477dw MFP is perfect for small businesses and workgroups printing up to 4 500 pages a month. It has been designed with a real-world application in mind, therefore, what office environments require for optimal productivity gains.”
Additional Pro 477dw MFP productivity features include:
• Direct print from mobile devices with Wi-Fi Direct and NFC-touch-to-print technology;
• The ability to scan, copy or fax while other users are printing;
• TCO reduction of up to 20 percent; and
• HP’s Colour Access Control that manages colour use and therefore reduces printing expenditure.
