Tesla is going to build what it believes to be the world’s largest lithium-ion battery storage project in South Australia.
The project will be carried out in partnership with Neoen, a French renewable energy supplier.
The grid-scale battery is part of South Australia’s efforts to provide more sustainable electricity at lower prices.
When completed, the battery will be able to store 129 megawatt hours of electricity, making it about three times more powerful than any other battery.
The project should be completed by December.
