Telecoms solution unifies communications

ShoreTel Connect has launched an integrated solution that delivers a unified communications experience between ShoreTel Connect, G Suite and Google Chrome.
With a new client app, users can streamline workflows and increase efficiencies with integrated contacts, events and call control.
ShoreTel Connect is available through SS Telecoms.
Says Leon Rüsch, product and sales manager at SS Telecoms: “Google Chrome browser and G Suite are heavily used in the enterprise and across vertical markets, but our clients say there are too many overlapping desktop productivity tools. This integration enables users to choose what works for them as they are not forced to pick one over the other. They can search through all contacts at once and initiate a call with one click. In addition, ShoreTel events can now be created from Google Calendar.”
Connect CLOUD and ONSITE users can get up and running quickly and easily by downloading the ShoreTel Connect extension from the Google Chrome webstore.
Connect for Chrome browser is available at no additional cost to South African Connect CLOUD and Connect ONSITE customers with Essentials, Standard and Advanced service or product plans.
Rüsch says that, aside from the fact that the download is free to Shoretel users, it also illustrates the technology’s ability to integrate with third party apps so that clients can experience a unified communication system.
