Bolstering its data protection and data management offerings, Pinnacle has signed a distribution agreement with Commvault.
Pinnacle Enterprise Solutions (Pinnes) is presently investing heavily in product and service solutions like Commvault to be able to offer its clients individual ICT architecture, tailor-made to fit specific requirements of unique client and/or project-based circumstances.
Commvault has a long standing history of visionary innovation, superior technology and world-class support and therefore it is a logical business decision to make, according to Pinnes CTO Johan Lötter. “Commvault has been termed a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the past seven years running and provides customers with a data management solution that scales according to customer requirements,” he says.
There are numerous advantages to introducing solutions-based items to projects that Commvault brings to the table. The most obvious is simply the move to the cloud, the assurance of scalability without boundaries, the unmatched overall cost efficiency that the solution provides, and the enablement of disaster recovery with DRaas.
“Commvault has specifically been chosen to be part of the premium strategic turnkey solutions offered by Pinnacle through Pinnes,” adds Lotter. “This partnership will therefore provide Pinnacle the ability to offer customers a complete data management solution from the end point, to the data centre, to the cloud.”
District channel manager for Commvault in South Africa, Gerhard Fourie says: “Pinnacle will allow Commvault to grow by targeting previous untapped markets. Pinnacle, which is already a well-established ICT distributor, is currently driving their end-to-end delivery and ‘ready-to-ship’ solutions through their newly formed business unit Pinnacle Enterprise Solutions (Pinnes). They are therefore positioned to integrate Commvault solutions into their already existing product portfolio”.
“An added advantage in the market is that Pinnacle have already established relationships with many of Commvault’s alliance partners such as Huawei, Fujitsu, Supermicro and Nutanix. These synergies enable Pinnacle to offer bundled solutions to the market combining Commvault software with hardware products that are already proven to support it.”
Pinnes has subsequently appointed Samantha Naicker — a dedicated Product Manager for Commvault who will facilitate all queries and business touch points for the operation.
