IT solutions and services provider, Dynamic Recovery Services (DRS), a Cognosec AB company. has appointed two new directors. Nastassja Poorter has joined the company as enterprise sales director, while Jonathan Cooke has joined as commercial sales director.
Poorter’s experience in sales and ICT spans nine years, having worked at some top local organisations including Dimension Data, Secure Data and ITNA.
According to Robert Brown, CEO of DRS, Poorter has deep knowledge and solid information security expertise, and has been brought on board to proactively develop and grow both current and new business in South Africa, and the continent as a whole. In her new role, she will be responsible for looking for new business and forming solid relationships with DRS clients, as well as overseeing and managing a large team of sales staff.
“We have every confidence that Nastassja will be a huge asset to our organisation, and will help us develop sales strategies to remain competitive and innovative,” he says.
Cooke has eight years’ experience in the ICT channel, holding positions at Comztek and Drive Control Corporation. Prior to joining DRS, Cooke was head of B2B Channel for Africa at security giant Kaspersky Lab.
In his new role, Cooke will be responsible for identifying and proposing areas where technology, company structure and day-to-day practices can be united and refined to drive DRS towards its corporate goals.
“Jonathan is highly strategically aware and will help us to create an environment that enables our innovators to operate to best effect. He knows how best to operate and how to get things done,” Brown says.
He adds the two new directors bring with them a wealth of expertise in creating world-class ICT companies in South Africa.
