At CES 2018, ASUS gave visitors a preview of four new upcoming products: ZenBook 13 (UX331UAL), Vivo AiO V272, Vivo AiO and the ASUS X507 laptop –from its 2018 range of Windows 10 consumer laptops and all-in-one PCs.
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) also unveiled its latest lineup of gaming gear at CES 2018, including the ROG Strix SKT T1 Hero Edition laptop, ROG Strix GL12 desktop, ROG Strix Flare RGB mechanical keyboard, ROG Aura Terminal addressable RGB controller, ROG Spotlight RGB projection light and Bezel-free Kit display accessory.
The full lineup of new ROG products is designed to enable gamers to create their own perfect battle station and enjoy totally immersive gaming experiences.
ROG Strix SKT T1 Hero Edition is a limited-edition gaming laptop developed in collaboration with top eSports team SK telecom T1 and designed for MOBA gaming with an Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics and a 120Hz IPS-level display with a 100% sRGB color gamut.
The ROG Strix GL12 desktop is powered by a factory-overclocked 8th Generation Intel Core processor (up to 4.8GHz hexa-core) with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics for incredible performance with the latest games, and a transparent side panel and customizable Aura Sync lighting effects to let gamers express their gaming style.
The ROG Strix Flare RGB mechanical gaming keyboard delivers premier performance, ergonomic comfort and a new level of customizable style with individually backlit Cherry MX RGB switches, dedicated media keys positioned for instant in-game control, an illuminated customizable logo badge and Aura Sync lighting.
The ROG Aura Terminal and ROG Spotlight accessories feature Aura Sync, which provides synchronized lighting with a wide range of supported devices, so gamers can easily create stunning system effects with a unified look and feel. In 2018, ROG is taking Aura Sync to the next level by expanding its Aura SDK program to let software developers and hardware partners integrate even more Aura Sync features into their creations. AIDA64, Tobii and Cooler Master showcased demos at CES 2018 highlighting the possibilities of the Aura SDK.
The ZenBook 13 is a Windows 10 laptop that’s ultralight, ultrathin and ultrapowerful. It’s built to give users the ultimate mobility, featuring a feather-light 985g all-metal chassis and all-day 15-hour battery life. It includes an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and superfast 1TB PCIe SSD, as well as a Harman Kardon audio system. It is preinstalled with Windows 10, including new features like Windows Hello, Modern Standby, and Microsoft’s digital assistant Cortana.
It’s expected to be in South Africa by the end of January 2018.
Offering easy portability and uncompromising performance for daily computing, the 1.68kg ASUS X507 is powered by a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX110 graphics and a dual-storage design. It has NanoEdge Full HD display and is preinstalled Windows 10 including Cortana.
It’s expected to be in South Africa in June 2018.
ROG G703 is a gaming laptop with an ultra-smooth 17.3-inch Full HD wide-view display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for a 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the factory-overclocked Intel Core i7-7820HK processor that reaches speeds of up to 4.3GHz out of the box, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics with a maximum boost clock of up to 1974MHz, and Windows 10.
High-refresh-rate displays are provided with the ROG Strix Scar Edition with a 144Hz panel and GTX 1070 graphics. ASUS has also introduced high-refresh-rate displays into the mainstream gaming market with the FX503 laptop, which features a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics.
ROG G703 features the Anti-Dust Cooling (ADC) system whereby dust, dirt and other particles are ejected from the chassis through two dedicated tunnels, preventing build-up in the thermal fins for improved heat dissipation and increased system stability and lifespan. In addition to ROG G703, the patented Anti-Dust Cooling system will be available in the next generation of all ROG gaming laptops.

From October 2017, ASUS introduced a pick up and return service in South Africa with Rectron. End users can call Rectron to arrange the pick-up from their home. ASUS officially provides one-year pick up and return warranty for VivoBook & ZenBook series and two years warranty for ROG series in South Africa.
