Position: IT Support Engineer
Location: Free State – Bloemfontein
Duties:
– Reporting to PACS and RIS Cordinator / Project Manager
– Be responsible to monitor and maintain the PACS & RIS systems and networks of the organisation. It will install and configure PACS& RIS systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical problems, either over the phone or face-to-face.
– Install and configure PACS & RIS systems
– Monitor and maintain PACS systems and networks
– Set up new users
– Configure user rights for various applications
– Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
– Replace parts as required
– Provide support, including procedural, documentation
– Run network applications to support systems and users
– Support new applications
– Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
– Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
– Prioritise and manage several open cases at one time
– Rapidly establish a good working relationship with other professionals in order to make necessary repairs
– Test and evaluate new technology
Requirements:
– Min requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT.
– PACS and RIS experience preferred.
– HIS Integration experience.
– Experience with common Imaging Modalities
– Experience in various training methodologies desirable.
– Strong service orientation and willing to travel.
– Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
