Business partners can now leverage from the unique integration between Axiz and IBM to sell SaaS and cloud products.

“This is in line with Axiz transformation of distribution through our Advanced Technologies division,” says Jacques Malherbe, chief technology officer and managing executive of Advanced Technologies.

The integration is designed to make it quicker, easier and more efficient for Axiz to order cloud based services for the customers. The platform has a predetermined deal margin approach, which allows business partners to have confident pricing interactions with their customers.

Loyiso Skweyiya, IBM business development manager at Axiz, explains that the platform was built as IBM’s digital transformation strategy.

The benefits that Axiz Digital extends to partners are considerable, he adds. “It dramatically cuts the processes that are required under the traditional system.

“Once they have registered with Axiz, they can place orders and the provisioning of products and services from IBM is quicker and better priced compared to the traditional IBM partner programs.”

Phase Two of Axiz Digital will allow business partners to have a self-service interface to give them full control of placing orders.

As part of the first phase on Axiz Digital, the following products and services are included: software as a service (SaaS); infrastructure as a service (IaaS); and platform as a service (PaaS) which includes SPSS Statistics, SPSS Modeler, compute, containers, networking, storage, artificial intelligence (AI), analytics, database, developer tools, integration, Internet of things (IoT), security, starter kits, web and mobile, and web and application.

This includes products powered by IBM Watson. Watson is IBM suite of enterprise ready AI services, applications and tooling.

“This means partners are able to source SaaS, IaaS and PaaS in one convenient portal,” Skweyiya says. “They are able to respond quickly to their customers’ needs, offering them the exact services they need at any stage,” he adds.

Skweyiya stresses that Axiz Digital is a dynamic offering that is being improved and extended all the time. In its current iteration, it eases the way for partners to specify requirements and place orders on Axiz Digital.

Bradley McCulloch, IBM business unit manager at Axiz, says: “This is a phenomenal step forward for Axiz. This journey has had many challenges over the last nine months, but completing Phase One, is the start of the simplified digital experience for our partner community.”
