Our client based in Johannesburg (East Rand) is currently looking to employ a Robotic Service Technician. Main purpose of the position:
- Under indirect supervision, provide customer service in the areas of counseling, installation,
repair, maintenance and modifications of a wide variety of robotic systems and devices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and emergency repair procedures, completing required reports and satisfying customer needs through practical field experience and in-depth company training programs.
- In-depth troubleshooting of broad range of robotic systems.
- Preventative maintenance of robots/controllers/related equipment.
- In-depth repair of robots, controllers and related equipment.
- Continue to refine customer relation skills.
- Provide technical training to other Field Service Technicians.
- Perform basic, intermediate and advanced systems functions, including software upgrades, TCP, Robot Calibration, weld test, systems test, etc.
- Perform advanced robot programming for welding and other applications.
- Generate and follow up on service reports.
- Communicate, attack and resolve safety/service related issues via verbal and written reports.
- Refer Sales/Service leads.
- Wiring of electrical panels, pushbuttons etc.
- Ensure that trip/time reports are generated in a complete and timely fashion.
- Robotic system installations and commissioning.
- Coordinate service support efforts with Regional Sales Managers.
- Promote teamwork and foster exemplary work environment.
- Interface with co-workers in a manner that enhances employee satisfaction.
- Responsible for safety (in house and at customer site).
- Phone support.
- 24-hour support.
- Comply and adhere to Company policy and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned at management’s discretion.
Skill requirements:
- Electrical trade
- Robotic experience/qualification
- PLC experience/qualification
- 5 years working experience in maintenance
