Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12 (or SAQA Accredited equivalent) is essential
Electrical Engineering/Information Systems (or SAQA Accredited equivalent) is essential
8 years total experience in the Telecommunications Industry is essential.
2 years of the above 8 years’ experience should ideally be in Architecture, Systems Planning, Systems Design and Development.
Demonstrable software and/or hardware development skills.
Duties:
Project Management
In depth knowledge/experience of the ICT and Telecommunication Industry in the following domains:
Software and Hardware development skills on various platforms including system integration.
Fixed Telecommunications technologies, including Access, Transmission and Core Network knowledge, both Circuit and Packet switched.
Mobile Telecommunications technologies, including Access, Transmission and Core Network knowledge, both Circuit and Packet switched.
General knowledge of key technology concepts that affect Telecommunications and the broader ICT industry in order to provide thought leadership.
To document all aspects of the technical work streams
To be able to communicate at all levels within the organization through documented outputs tailored to the specific project/initiative, engagement, audience and desired outcome.
