Pre-eminent National and International Accounting Body with over 36 000 Professional Members requires a driven, impactful CA (SA) with solid exposure in:
- Public Sector Accounting and Reporting
- Public finance management and governance
- Public Sector capacity building
- Public Sector Business Experience
This will be used to drive meaningful change and excellence within each Public Sector CA (SA)
You will be required to ensure that your strategy, objectives and projects are executed effectively, with your Public and Private Sector knowledge
The role includes but is not limited to the following:-
- Building relationships and partnering with key, high-level stakeholders within the Public Sector
- Developing programmes that offer appropriate levels of technical support and thought leadership
- Keeping abreast of all technical and non-technical developments within the Public Sector, in order to inform and update Public Sector CA(SA)’s in meetings, workshops, social media and emails, effectively
- Assisting with the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts for area
- Developing stakeholder mapping and engagement plans
- Updating existing guides and circulars as necessary
This role is absolutely critical so requires excellent understanding and experience of Public Sector Business and Technical Accounting. The position requires collaboration but is results driven, so proactivity and drive is key, to make real changes using a well-thought out “road map” devised by you. If you are a well above average CA (SA) with a passion for Public Sector excellence this is a role for you.
CA (SA) plus at least 7 years’ experience, either advising Public Sector or working within the Public Sector at a senior financial level, is absolutely essential. High-level English literacy – both spoken and written is a must. Leadership skills and excellent references not negotiable.
