Well known global fertilizer company requires the above to be responsible for the full finance and operations function overseeing and supporting the South African business entity looking after operations on the east coast of Africa and Southern Africa.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- BComm degree in Accounting or Financial Management or related is essential.
- Previous experience having worked in a Financial Management role is essential.
- Previous Operations experience is pref but not essential.
- The successful candidate must have a good understanding of South Africa Tax.
- The successful candidate must be a good team player, dedicated, flexible and have exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and to handle various duties as well as have a good attitude and problem solving ability.
- Must have exceptional English skills, both written and spoken.
- Must be able to perform the finance function with ease firstly.
- Previous experience having worked on Navision or a related ERP system is essential.
- Previous experience having worked within in an import/export environment is pref.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and managing the complete financial function of the South African business unit;including the finance and operation of the business.
- Ensuring all tax returns to be SARS and CIPC compliant as well as all managing all CIPC filings and corporate secretarial functions.
- Preparing and coordinating the company’s annual audit as well as preparing monthly management accounts.
- Preparing the monthly management accounts, cash flow management and managing bank accounts.
- Handling monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations and hedging of foreign exchange exposure.
- Managing relationship with local credit insurers as well as managing and overseeing debtors and creditors.
- Communicating regularly with head office finance function.
