Experience and Core Functional Responsibilities
- Professional qualification with at least CA(SA), undergraduate degree with honours and post-graduate degree
- Minimum years experience with 3 to 4 years at a similar capacity and experience. Incumbents typically spend 3-5 years at this level.
- Deal or Investee related responsibilities involve being either the lead or a strong no 2.
- Responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, closing, managing and monitoring private equity investments. Would start leading commercial DD and VCP development in smaller Investees deals.
- Strong fund knowledge and expertise in financing approaches and techniques (equity or debt).
- Proven counterparty relationship skills. May manage large transactions with important counterparties. However, may act as the no. 2 on larger and more complex investments.
- Has strong writing skills and can manage a plan and IM process with limited supervision and editing to agreed to time frames. Can present an investment proposition at an IC meeting.
- Portfolio reviews write up of Investee Company with no edits.
- Manage fund Portfolio Review and write up document.
