Job Title: Program Coordinator: IT DIPLOMA IN NETWORK DESIGN AND ADMINSTRATION

Specification
Qualifications/ Education:

  • Minimum of a Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Computing/Information Technology/Information Systems- equivalence of NQF 7 and above.
  • International Certifications like MCSA or MCSE are a recommendation.
  • Microsoft Certifications like MD101, MD100 AZ103, AZ300, AZ500, will be an added advantage.

Experience:
Min of 3 years’ experience in Higher Education environment,

  • Lecturing
  • Development of curriculum.
  • Assessor and Moderator be an added advantage

Technical abilities:

  • Knowledge of Windows Servers
  • A strong background knowledge of Networking design
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems like Windows 10
  • Any CISCO qualification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) will be an added advantage.
  • In depth understanding of cloud services like Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Understanding of Databases like SQL, SharePoint and Exchange.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously conduct research to ensure that Programme content is current, valid and in line with industry requirements.
  • Support lecturing staff and students
  • Managing of relevant LMS
  • Write International exams to make sure that all content is current and valid.
  • Academic content development and implementation of newly accredited programmes.
  • Assist with preparation of new programmes for approval and accreditation by relevant bodies in the country.
  • Potential to identify new courses in line with new developments in management education and then design such new subject offerings and motivate amongst one’s peers for the inclusion of such material in the formal academic curriculum and executive course offerings.
  • An ability to translate practical experience into curricula and link this effectively to the theory of the discipline as well as an ability to relate theory to practice
  • Provide academic leadership
  • Take responsibility in coordination of programmes
  • Ensure good relations with stakeholders
  • Maintain a practical understanding of service standards and quality improvement initiatives relevant to the department and work to these standards, engaging in personal and professional development as appropriate
  • Ensuring the academic coherence and integrity of the programme and that all conditions for the delivery of the programme are met.
  • Coordination of logistical and other issues regarding:
  • The day-to-day delivery of the programme.
  • All aspects of the programme quality management system, including the provision of resources.
  • The review of the programme and feedback with a view to improvement.
