Private Hospital facility requires a Unit Manager responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining all aspects of patient care and responsibilities.
- Participate in ward quality improvement programmes.
- Develop a talented nursing workforce.
- Assign decision making, authority, tasks and responsibilities to appropriate persons in order to maximise organisation and employee effectiveness.
- Facilitate effective change and conflict management.
- Promote staff wellbeing and problem solving.
- Apply aspect relating to human resources, including performance management and disciplinary procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered as a Professional Nurse with SANC.
- A diploma/ certificate in Management or Nursing Administration would be advantageous.
- Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse.
- Managerial experience in hospital environment essential.
- 2 or more years experience in a PRIVATE hospital setting, working in Labour and The Birthing Team Unit preferred.
