The incumbents will be based at the Silverton Assembly Plant and will be responsible for the overall learning material design & development, coordinate, conduct training programmes in line with Stamping Stream business needs
POSITION DETAILS
- Develop Stamping Stream AMIC {CORE & SkILLS} learning material, core and skills assessment documentation, training validation assessments.
- Tailor specific training programmes in line with Training Needs Analysis (TNA) of the Stamping Area.
- In preparation of training delivery e.g (for new product Launch, facelift programs, special training requirements) the individual must be able to formulate appropriate training material for example, training plans, training schedules, trainer guides, learner guides and assessment documents for launch purposes.
- Co-ordinate all necessary training for stamping plant technical related personel including: electrical/mechanical/die making
- Coordinate machine press operations training
- Oversee skin panel inspections training
- Coordinate the artisan multi-skilling training related programmes with the relevant workshop management. This includes covering both the practical and theoritical aspects of the relevant Operator and Artsan training programmes and refer matters to Techncial Training Workshop

- Faciliting Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) assessments Process
- Records management and input to relevant archive system
- Set-up meetings with the respective stamping area management to determine and assist the Stamping plant in developing training needs
- Evaluate training impact to the business and develop case impact studies
- Perform administrative task and maintaining all training records
- Revision of core, stamping assessments
- Coordinate NCAMA workplace rotation to cover learnership elective assesments and learning

Facilitate AMIC writing, Marking and draft skill level movement of operators

Versatility reporing of the area.
- Assist with the implementation of Ford Production Systems (FPS) and ensuring adherence to the system

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA)

Understanding of South Africa Qualification Authority (SAQA), National Qualification Framework (NQF), Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services (Merseta) and learnerships

Knowledge on training programme development in terms of outcomes/competence
- Experience with writing and/or maintaining documentation such as user manuals
- Experience in technical training delivery
- Good working knowledge of mechanical equipment (press equipment, tool setting, conveyors, pumps, hoist and crane operations etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- Trade certificate as Millwright OR Mechatronics Or Jig & Tool Maker Or Die Maker (plus) or
- National Diploma in relevant field prefereable Mechatronics or National Technical Certificate 6 (NTC 6) (plus) or
- B-tech Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum four years relevant learning and devlopment experience in the automotive manufacturing or heavy duty production environment will be an added advantage
- ODETDP will be an added advantage to this post
- Must be prepared to work shifts and overtime
