Datacentrix, has launched a virtual IBM Competency Centre, where local businesses are able to access downloadable resources and connect directly with experts from both Datacentrix and IBM.
Datacentrix is an IBM Platinum Business Partner and is recognised as an expert partner in Storage, Server and Security solutions, as well as for a range of additional IBM offerings, such as data and artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid cloud integration, and asset management among others.
“As we find ourselves within a pandemic, people and businesses are looking to technology for the survival not only of our economy, but humanity itself,” says Datacentrix CEO Ahmed Mahomed, speaking at the launch of the virtual centre.
“In today’s fast-paced world, the fact is that companies need to stay relevant to survive. You could even go as far as saying that the ‘I’ in CIO no longer just pertains to ‘information’,” he says. “It also refers to ‘innovation’, ‘ideation’, ‘investment’ and ‘social interactions’, all points that have become increasingly important for businesses to prioritise.
“With this in mind, Datacentrix is excited to launch the IBM Competency Centre, providing a safe digital space for customers to network and engage virtually with both companies, while putting technology to the test and also have the opportunity to generally be more innovative.”
One of the virtual centre’s biggest draw-cards is its three Competency Rooms, dedicated to Storage Solutions, Power Systems Solutions and Security Solutions. Here, visitors can connect directly with solution experts within each discipline from both Datacentrix and IBM. Each Competency Room features aligned content and videos, as well as the option to schedule a workshop, engage in a group chat with the topic specialists, send a direct e-mail, or even schedule an appointment with an individual expert.
