They are looking for an Intermediate Java Developer to join their Digital Transformation team in Cape Town.
You will be part of a team that is currently creating a high performing Digital Services Layer (DSL) by applying DevOps principles and you will be responsible for setting up design patterns, libraries, frameworks and processes.
To qualify for this role, you need to have a Diploma/Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science OR Matric with experience equal to three times the number of years study.
You need to have 3 – 5 years’ working experience as a Developer within a development team as well as 3 – 5 years’ experience in software testing and working on projects in both Agile and DevOps environments.
It’s important that you have at least 3 years’ experience with Could technologies – especially AWS (S3, cloud formation scripts, Lamda’s, SES, SQS and step functions) to succeed in this role.
You also need 3+ years’ experience with the following technologies:
- Distributed source control systems (e.g. Git);
- Docker and Kubernetes;
- Java 8, JSP and Springboot;
- Object Orientation Programming;
- Microservices;
- Web services (SOAP and Rest); and,
- Hands-on experience in a DevOps environment (1 years’ experience).
Salary is negotiable based on experience and current remuneration.
