Duties
To plan, organize and control production ensuring that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to the quality standards.
Manage processing operation including yield, quality and cost achievement, as well as controlling stock levels of finished products and packing material.
Maintain food production compliance in accordance with the relevant legislative
Manage effective and timely monitoring of all performance
Responsible for directing and training supervisors
Ensure adequate staffing by scheduling, training, and mentoring the local team to ensure they are meeting performance metrics and operating efficiently
Take control of all aspects of the production: setting up the line, packing, and cleaning up at the end of each shift.
Manage the inventory spreadsheet for warehouse supplies
Improve the operational flow, key metrics, employee happiness, food safety and warehouse safety at Imperfect and relay those to the Ops Leadership Team.
Plan and organise production schedules
Effectively order suppliers for production
Estimate, negotiate and manage budgets and timescales with clients and managers
Ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met
Determine quality control standards on products developed
Oversee Production process.
Order and purchase materials for production
Organise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
Ensure all company regulations and government legislations are adhered to.
Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in Production Management/ Operations Management/Business Management
Minimum of 10 year’s experience in a similar position preferably in a Food/Meat Manufacturing environment.
Excellent knowledge of legislative requirements – food safety, health and safety and employment legislation;
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent business English, both verbal and written
Established proficiency in MS Office
Proven statistical and analytical ability
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Availability to work extended hours as per operational requirements
Ability to work in highly stressed and complex situations
Package & Remuneration
R500 000 – R750 000 CTC negotiable on experience and qualifications
