Our global client, operating in the financial sector, is looking to employ an experienced Sales and Client Relationship Account Manager to their team in Port Elizabeth.
Job Summary:
- Source leads to potential client base and Market company services for B-BBEE to potential and existing client base. (Working with a telesales operator where applicable).
- Manage and take responsibility for achieving Sales Targets for region.
- Support the Directors/regional manager with input into the development of national marketing strategy and execution of tasks related to national marketing strategy.
Requirements:
- Com or equivalent and/or with 3 years commercial and traceable sales experience to the target market (companies with a turnover between R100m – R1Billion+).
- Relevant technical BBBEE and industry knowledge.
- 5+ years of external sales experience with proven track record.
- Previous project or people management experience an asset.
- Superior writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Servicing Port Elizabeth, plus surrounding areas as required
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
- Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the organization.
- Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services.
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
- Assisting at a high level with marketing support for the region.
- Participates in trade shows and conventions.
- Provides accurate and relevant reports to management in order to track progress and trends.

- Prepare Sales Reports for region as required by Regional Manager, covering activities, targets, source, reasons for declines, opposition, trends, etc.
- Source leads from company partners and departments.
- Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets.
- Ensure that the national sales strategy is adhered to and followed.
- Must be hardworking and able to work independently, without daily supervision.
Remuneration:
- Basic salary of R72,000.00 CTC annually or R6,000 monthly
- Lucrative commission structure :
- Commission of 10% on new sales (can sell nationally).
- Commission of 5% on renewal sales.
