We are currently looking for an Artisan – HVAC in North West who will be responsible for providing technical (HVAC) support with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements of the new contract. Support the Engineering Manager (HVAC) with the technical workplace services, in a manner which achieves the objectives of client in accordance with the Master Service Agreement.

Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 5 years’ technical (HVAC) experience in a similar environment
• Supervisory experience is an advantage
• Organise, plan and prioritise tasks for self and team to ensure that work gets done profitably and efficiently
• Interact with stakeholders and team – influencing, motivating and encouraging specific behaviour
• Interact with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of technical equipment, materials and suppliers used in facilities management.
• Have a good knowledge of machine tools, general maintenance.
• Familiar with instrumentation related to air conditioning systems and Building Management Systems.

Qualifications

• Matric
• NQF Level 4 technical qualification with trade papers

Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Delivery:
• Co-ordinates and performs maintenance on all Air-Conditioning, and general building maintenance.
• Ensures optimal performance of all, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems.
• Compiles and presents technical reports on all services.
• Proposes solutions to problems identified.
• Provides corrective recommendations on a proactive basis as required.
• Checks and monitors compliance of the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with regard to, Air-Conditioning Systems, etc.
• Drives the BMS system to ensure optimal building performance
• Ensure that all jobs are carried out in a safe and competent manner
• Clean-up work area on completion of a job
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean and clear at all times
• Ensure that all Work Orders are completed prior to submission to the relevant Manager
• Proactively log any technical maintenance issues you identify at the TFS Helpdesk
• Tools are to be looked after and maintained in a good working condition

Service Delivery Management:
• Comprehensive maintenance, repair and operation of all components, structures and grounds associated with the site technical power distribution system.
• Ensure performance requirements are met (SLA’s and performance management)
• Maintain an accurate record of all maintenance documentation, warranties, licences
• Ensure the safety and maintenance of all assets and equipment.
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the management and staff.

Customer Focus:
• Work with teams to develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude toward activities
• Interact with clients to provide and process information in response to enquiries, concerns and requests about services
• Work with processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced
• Attend to and resolve all client queries timeously or escalate when necessary
• Follow up and follow through on all escalated queries timeously
• Manage conflictReporting:
• Prepare weekly/monthly reporting within set timeframes for submission to your Manager as requested
• Update and maintain all relevant records
