This is a Permanent Opportunity for a Unit Manager with previous experience in managing a Theatre Unit
Position is for a Private Hospital Group based in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
The Ideal Candidate will meet with the following essential requirements:
- Valid SANC Registration
- A Post Basic Diploma in Operating Theatre Techniques
- 5 years Operational Experience in a Theatre Unit
- Scrub experience in Cardiothoracic Neurosurgery and or Ophthalmology will be advantageous
- Previous experience in a management position will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the legislative and Occupational Health and Safety requirements
- Valid Driver’s licence and ability to travel
- After-hours availability – own transport and Work flex-time

- Commitment to initiate and implement continuous improvement projects
- Experience managing a Theatre Department, managing staff, staff planning, recruitment
- Experience managing stock, finance billing for stock and equipment for the Theatre Department
Technical Systems requirements:
- Excellent MS Office computer skills, i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of the Kronos System
