Our client in the Southern Suburbs of Johannesburg has an EE opportunity available for Head: Applications Support & Systems Development.
Requirements:
- Honours Degree in IT related qualification (NQF Level 8)
- Management qualification
- Certification (ITIL, CESA / CISSP/COBIT)
- At least 10 years’ experience within the IT environment of which 5 years must have been spent on Application /System development frameworks / models
- Management level experience
- Experience of Oracle Technologies, Databases and related development/ support methodologies/ frameworks
- Ability to conduct research and develop strategic business documents
- Experience designing and implementing mission-critical systems and application in anenterprise environment
KPAs:
- Create, implement, and test IT policies and processes in the areas of software development and implementation; ensure compliance with guidelines and requirements from the CIO, as well as generally accepted IT best practices
- Plan and manage Company-specific applications projects in coordination with the CIO; define and implement an effective on-going support model for these Company for-specific solutions, combining internal and external talent to be effective and costeffective
- Define, implement, and publish on a monthly basis key performance metrics for business applications
- Plan and manage other business applications projects, per the IT department’s plans and priorities, including defining project scope and requirements, estimating and tracking project costs, planning and managing tasks and resources, assessing and mitigating project risks
