BASED IN SECUNDA

  • Lead the Procurement team within the Finance Shared Service Centre
  • Assist team to develop clear individual development goals to close competence gaps. Conduct continuous performance reviews and build a culture of integrity, accountability and high performance.
  • Provide support to the finance function, treasury on ad hoc projects implementation and with working capital management initiatives.
  • Build internal networks and relationships to support an effective shared service centre mindset and develop effective working relationships with all members of the Finance Shared Service Centre
  • Implement, develop and lead the procurement function, incl. ensuring adequate staffing and development of the procurement professionals
  • Build strong collaborative networks with internal business partners and the relevant procurement organizations, ensuring change management, effective communication and stakeholder alignment
  • Ensure achievement of procurement targets, develop and implement procurement strategies and supplier relationship management strategies in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Support development and implementation of functional procurement strategies and supplier relationship management strategies in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance of requisitioners and local procurement with the Procurement Policy, Directive, Guidelines and functional SOPs
  • Ensure uninterrupted and efficient flow of requested materials and services for the site/ affiliate while minimizing inventory, manage and optimize the site requisition to payment process
  • Continuously improve processes and systems in compliance with the global company procurement infrastructure

Educational requirements:

  • Education: University degree or similar level of education, ideally a background in asset intensive industries
  • MBA is an advantage
  • Procurement certification, e.g. CPM (desirable)

Experience:

  • 8+ years procurement management or category management experience
  • People management and leadership experience (planning, organising, monitoring, developing people and strategic leadership)
  • Solid understanding Industrial business and operations
  • Should have experience in procurement of project services, major maintenance spares and services, large electrical and instrumentation contractors
