Mazars, an international professional services firm, based at Mazars House in Cape Town is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to join our Information Technology department. You will provide a support service to ensure that PCs (IT equipment), telephones, printers, cell phones and equipment are functioning optimally at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 1- 2 years’ experience in a desktop support environment within a corporate environment Grade 12 qualification plus A+/N+/MCTS qualificationSkilled in the resolution of PC hardware problemsSkilled in the resolution of operating systems and application software problemsBe proactiveFocus on providing high levels of customer serviceBe able to work as part of a teamHigh levels of quality and detail orientationBe able to cope with pressures and setbacks

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide 1st and 2nd level supportResolve and close IT incidentsEscalate unresolved incidents Follow up on unresolved incidentsSetup new PCs for users and ensure that they are functionalAssist with the administration of the intranet Provide user support training and coachingLiaise with suppliers with regards to IT equipment
