Purpose Statement
- Responsible for the implementation of IT Governance, Information Security and Cyber Security practices, disciplines, frameworks and policies, as well as provide independent, objective consulting activities, assisting management to achieve their assigned responsibilities in terms of co-ordination, oversight, implementation of IT risk management process and report thereon.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of information security analysts/specialists across various disciplines within the IT Risk Department.
- The Manager: IT Risk will work closely with IT, the entire business, Legal, Risk & Compliance and Internal Audit within the Bank.
Experience
Minimum:
- 10+ years’ specialist experience within IT Governance, Risk and Compliance
- 10+ year in Financial Services/Banking experience
- Proven experience in the management of a group of specialists in a similar environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Science
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology
Knowledge

A sound understanding of:
- Banking and Financial services industry
- Risk methodologies (e.g. COBIT, ITIL)
- Information Security Practices and Frameworks (e.g. ISF, ISO, NIST, Cobit)
- Information Security Management Principles
- Quality Management practices
- Cybersecurity practices
- IT Governance and IT Risk Management principles, including the regulatory environment applicable to IT
- Business Continuity Management Principles

- IT Infrastructure and application technologies
