We need 2 x Inbound Materials Planners. Here is an opportunity to get involved in a very dynamic and innovative company and grow your career in supply chain industry.
The planners will be working very closely with production to ensure on-time arrival of inbound materials according to the production schedule. The planner will also recommend optimal inventory strategies to ensure reliable material supply while at the same time optimising inventory investment.
In order to improve service delivery to production, the planner will collaborate with:
- the client around critical material supply
- suppliers to improve service delivery to production
- Your inhouse team to improve inbound visibility of materials
Key responsibilities areas:
- Ensuring latest production plan is reflected as a demand signal in the MRP system (SysPro)
- Recommend expediting / de-expediting of inbound materials
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by constantly reviewing inventory planning parameters and economic order quantities with suppliers
- Ensure MRP parameters are up to date and reflects current inventory management strategies
- Optimise delivery frequencies by suppliers
- Ensure Bill of Material accuracy
Qaulifications and Experience:
- Completed Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Logistics degree plus
- 2-3 years experience in acomplex manufacturing environment ( preferably automotive or similar. NOT FMCG)

The position is a permanent role however you will initially be employed on a 3 month probabtionary contract and will be made permanenet provided your performance warrants this. This is not negotiable.
