Main Purpose: To ensure good availability and reliability of all overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Key Performance Areas:
- Service, maintain and test overhead cranes, lifting equipment and portable electrical tools and declare it safe for plant maintenance use.
- Service, maintain and test pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Overhaul and test 3 phase motors up to 400kw.
- Conduct statutory load tests on overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Ensure good housekeeping at all times.
- Any other job related duties as required from time to time.

Preferred Requirements:
- Grade 12/N3.
- Qualified Artisan (Millwright).
- 3 Years’ electrical and mechanical experience in a workshop environment.
- Overhead cranes and lifting equipment experience.
- Knowledge of the legal requirements of lifting machinery and hydraulics.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Artisan profile to match the requirements.
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Valid Drivers’ License.
- Own transport.
