Purpose Statement
- To prepare & submit monthly regulatory returns and address queries related to the monthly/quarterly/bi-annual regulatory returns from the regulatory bodies
- To prepare detailed analytics for meetings for monthly regulatory returns
- To assist with financial statement reporting with regards to regulatory inputs
Experience
- At least3-5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting within a banking environment
Qualifications (Minimum)
- A relevant degree in Finance or Accounting – Financial Accounting
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- A relevant post-graduate qualification in Finance or Accounting – Financial Accounting
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
Knowledge
The job incumbent must have knowledge of:
- Banks Act and regulations relating to Banks
- Basel III regulations
- National Credit Act
- International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”)
- Advanced Internal Ratings Based (“AIRB”) will be advantageous
- Banks Act Regulation 43 reporting requirements including Capital Adequacy Ratio, Liquidity Coverage Ratio and Net Stable Funding Ratio requirements
