Job Advert Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator: Reconciliations to join the Custody Reconciliations Team in our Cape Town office. The primary responsibility of this position is the accountability for the cash reconciliations and reporting for Maitland clients. The individual is responsible to ensure that tasks performed within the team are administered efficiently, accurately and within daily deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
• The position requires someone with a diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent ;
• Minimum 1 year relevant industry/Asset Management experience;
• 1 year relevant reconciliations experience would be a advantage;
• 1 year experience/ exposure to financial markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Administrator: Reconciliations will be responsible for the following:
• Reconciliation of Cash Accounts
• Reconcile the cash accounts on InvestOne to the bank account for settlement of trades, income and expenses
• Identifying all timing difference and valid reconciliations items;
• Communication and pro-active follow up of reconciliation items with internal and external clients;;
• Resolution of reconciliation items
• Pro-actively managing reconciliation breaks across the operational teams as well as client allocated breaks with focus on break aged >5 days
• Ensuring that any new accounts are set up timeously on the reconciliation tool and that all applicable swift messages has been requestedFutures administration
• Reconcile margin reports to Future instrument transaction on InvestOne
• Distribute to relevant parties (Custodian / Client);
• Check booking fees and deals;
• Liaising with client on corrections;General duties:
• Maintaining relationships with internal and external clients;
• Assisting where required on projects and client take-on’s;
• Formulating/updating process documentation;
• Pro-active management of client queries / requests assigned to you in the group mailbox.

• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
