Thorburn Southern Region in Cape Town are in search of seasoned Business Development Management professional with strong Manned Guarding and Electronic Security Solutions [URL Removed] main purpose of this role is to Increase new business sales volumes and maintain and develop new customers.

Skills and Competencies
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar position within services sectors
• Traceable sales target achievements
• Sound knowledge of the Security industry preferable
• Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator. Should ideally be able to demonstrate success and experience in dealing with large companies and achieving genuine sales growth
• Ideal background would be in business support services; experience of contract cleaning industries would be an advantage
• Experience of tenders is imperative

• Matric
• Post Matric qualification (Preferably in Sales )
Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan and carry out selling activities (e.g. cold calling) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, and timescales
• Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone and personal visits
• Maintain and develop existing and new customers through ongoing communication and liaison
• Monitor and report on sales activities and provide relevant management information
• Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys as directed by management
• Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions and divisions as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
• Ensure highest possible customer service standards are maintained always
• Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
• Comply with company policies and procedures
