You’ve gained sales experience in the banking world and you’ve touched on offshore products/forex but you hate being limited by all the red tape that banks have in place, here’s your chance to basically run your own business backed by a legendary brand. You won’t be selling insurance, you will be selling a service that Wealth Managers won’t be able to refuse.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
Your role will be that of a Business Consultant approaching Wealth Managers but not offering unit trust and life insurance products, you are offering them a seamless Forex offering, an opportunity for them and their clients to bypass the red tape in the banks and even pay less than what the banks charge while being 100% paperless.
Where you’ll be doing it
A leading currency transfer agency with over 300 000 clients. They do the paperwork and necessary clearances cheaper and faster than the banks while being 100% safe and secure. The people you will be working with (remotely) have passion for the brand and the service they offer their clients so you will be surrounded by like-minded people who sell for the right reasons. You will work independently with lots of flexibility, so performance is measured on output and not hours at your desk. You’ll be the only Bloemfontein based Consultant so you will get to own the market but also need to be self-motivated, disciplined and hungry to succeed.
What you’ll need
You’ll be selling a financial product so RE 5 or a completed degree is essential. No less than 3 years in Sales will help you hit the ground running and a proven track record will help you transition into this and start earning commission sooner than later. Knowledge of the wealth industry and offshore investments will put your name at the top of the list. To make the most of those strategic conversations you need to be fluent in English & Afrikaans and have an interest in foreign exchange. Your own reliable transport is also essential as you’ll be required to meet with clients.
What you’ll get
You will receive a solid basic salary and commission that you will earn from Rand One once your target is met. Your target is realistic and linked to your basic salary, they want you to succeed within the first 3 months. If you don’t already have your RE 5, they will help you add it to your already completed degree. The people you will be working with are genuinely nice and friendly and they are there because they love what they do.
