SALES CONSULTANT
PHARMA BUSINES UNIT KWA-ZULU NATAL – COASTAL REGION
Co South Africa (Pty) Ltd currently has a vacancy for the above mentioned position, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
1. Overall objective of Job Function
Achieving 100% of set monthly, quarterly and annual sales, through effective Direct Selling & Detailing at Independent/Corporate Pharmacies and Scripting /Dispensing Doctors, within the KZN Coastal Region.
2. Minimum Qualification
? Graduate
? Previous Direct Selling experience at Independent and Corporate pharmacy level.
? Previous Direct Selling and or Dispensing Doctor level.
? Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage or relevant Sales/Marketing qualificaion
3. Experience
? Minimum 3 to 5 years experience, in KZN Coastal region.
? Previous Direct Selling experience at Independent and Corporate pharmacy levels.
? Previous Direct Selling experience and or Dispensing Doctor levels.
? Good understanding of Corprate pharmacy operations and Formulary listings.
? Sales Awards received for Top Sales Achievement
? Previous experience in the Generic Market only
Product Portfolio
? Scheduled pharmaceutical product experience is essential (preferably not OTC experience)
? Anti-infective, CNS, CVS, Respiratory, Anti-Diabetic, Anti-inflammatory & ARV’s

Knowledge:
? Sales strategy within Independent/Corporate pharmacy and Dispensing Doctor environment.
? Microsoft office suite (eg. Word, Excel)
? Repwise/SSD/Impact Rx
? Adobe Viewer

? Customer focused, logical thinking, information seeking, punctuality, teamwork and report effectively, and efficiently handle the admin responsibilities
? Candidate must be professional, young, energetic and sales driven
Remuneration:
? Market related (based on experience and qualification)
? Company commission scheme based on performance (sales vs budget)
? Medical Aid – Included in CTC (Aurogen does not contribute towards Medical Aid)
? Provident Fund – Included in CTC (Aurogen does not contribute towards Provident Fund)
Allowances:
? Company provides a “Cellphone allowance” (over and top of the basic salary)
? Company provides a “Tablet” for correspondence email, Repwise etc. (over and top of the basic salary)
? Company provides a “Petrol Card” and “E Tag” (over and top of the basic salary)

General
? Candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical knowledge of the company’s product range in order to influence the habits of the targeted healthcare professionals in the assigned territory.
? Be capable of booking orders directly from Dispensing Doctors, Corporate & Independant pharmacies.
? Be capable of engaging in a detailing session with all parties (Scripting/Dispensing Doctors and Pharmacists).
? Be capable of initiating a ‘switch’ strategy at pharmacy level, due to generic market.
? Ensure day-to-day flow of information of competitor activities and general company transactions via technology based tools supplied by the company.
? To grow and develop new business thereby building up a solid customer base.
? Manage the territory to achieve service level requirements in a cost efficient manner.
? Maintaining monthly business expenditure within budget.
? Be present at regional team meetings, cycle meetings and conferences.
? Ability to build relationships with pharmacy staff including pharmacists and pharmacy buyers.
