Duties and Responsibilities
To achieve the annual sales budget through meeting and exceeding daily and monthly budgets to ensure sustainability of the businessTo manage and control financial aspects of running the to ensure profitabilityTo adhere to merchandising standards in line with the brand requirements to ensure good product mixTo ensure proper stock management and control to minimise loss and to ensure product availabilityTo deliver the best customer service to ensure the best customer experienceTo build excellent relationships with all relevant service providers (internal and external)To manage human resources effectively by recruiting, planning and administrating payroll properlyTo inspire, motivate, develop and hold people accountable appropriately
Competencies
Knowledge of relevant Industrial Relations (IR) LawTo discipline staff and initiate enquiriesUnderstanding of profit and loss (income) statementsGood understanding of the retail environment and brandsAdministration and stock managementConflict managementTime managementCustomer service skillsLeadership skills
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years’ retail experienceMinimum of 12 – 18 months management experience
Minimum Qualifications Required
Complete Matric/Grade 12Tertiary Retail Qualification will be to your advantage
