Customs and Logistics Controller

Join dynamic Logistics team in fulfilling the following duties:
- Complete and issue Clearing Instructions for Clearing Agents.
- Check and sign off on Bill of Entries.
- Calculate duties and taxes to be paid.
- Deal with application of duty refunds and tariff reclassification.
- Keep and maintain bonded stock register.
- Be fully conversant with import and export laws and regulations. You will be expected to maintain your understanding and keep up to date with changes as they occur.
- Liaise with officials in various agencies to ensure goods are cleared through customs or quarantine.
- Assign cold stores and arrange for transportation, warehousing of imported goods and liaise with clearing agents.
- Maintain and issue the stores delivery report.
- Obtain vet release from cold stores/clearing agents and notify sales.
- Arrange and coordinate cross border deliveries and liaise with clearing agents and customers on delivery issues.
Matric with a tertiary qualification advantageous. Proficiency in Syspro, Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate to advanced Excel skills required. Closing date 5 December, please send your resume to [Email Address Removed]
