Role Purpose

Design and maintain innovative, engaging, experiential, high quality blended learning which meets the learning needs of the stakeholder and yields the envisaged skills transfer.

Overall output include: Research, analysis and scoping of learning content; Conceptualizing e-learning programme and game designs; Storyboarding of e-Learning programmes and games and Development of e-Learning content and assessments

Responsibilities and work outputs

  • Interpreting a brief and bringing a concept to life.
  • Working with the project scope, purpose, target audience, and client CI in mind.
  • Designing templates and page layouts
  • Designing original images and animations
  • Photo and image editing.
  • Building interactive eLearning content in an authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline 360/Rise.
  • Rigorously testing your work before submitting draft versions.
  • Packaging eLearning as SCORM/xAPI.
  • Rigorously testing your packages on an independent platform.
  • Video editing.

The interview will require practical demonstration of your skill set by means of an assignment.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Post Matric qualification within the relevant Learning and Development field or equivalent
  • Instructional design certification
  • Learning and digital media courseware eg Storyline, Captivate, Photoshop, GoAnimate etc
  • Adult education principles and design methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Proficiency with various LMS systems
  • A portfolio of evidence.

Software experience

  • Minimum 2 years: Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
  • Minimum 1 year: video editing software (Camtasia is beneficial).
  • Articulate 360 experience will be a great benefit.
